Water Heater Installation and Repair in Arlington, VA

If your water heater is nearing the end of its useful life and you’re thinking of replacing it before disaster strikes, you’ll be happy to know that you have better choices, thanks to federal regulations that require water heaters to be more energy-efficient. New storage tank water heaters are required to operate more efficiently, and tankless (on- demand) water heaters are even more efficient than that. Newer hybrid heat pump water heaters offer user-friendly features

Should You Fix or Replace an Aging Unit

If your tank water heater is more than 10 years old, it may be time to consider replacing it. With proper maintenance, a tank water heater tank should last six to 12 years. A tankless water heater can last for more than 20 years.

You Have Many Options

When it comes time to replace your hot water heater you have options. Both tank and tankless water heaters have their specific advantages. Tankless units can potentially help you save on home energy use and provide continuous hot water on demand. Together we’ll consider your usage preferences, energy supply, and space considerations. Then you can make an informed decision.

Gas

Both tank and tankless water heaters are available in natural gas and liquid propane options. Gas water heaters are typically cheaper to operate than electric. However, they cost more upfront and depend on the availability of a gas supply line and adequate venting at the installation location. There are a few different types of venting options that can be used for gas tank water heaters. We can help you decide if gas is right for you.

Electric

Like gas, electric water heaters are available in tank and tankless options. Electric water heaters are energy- efficient solutions for your home’s water heating needs. Although the recovery rate of electric water heaters is slower compared to gas water heaters, electric models can be less expensive to purchase and installation costs are generally lower. In most cases an existing electric heater can be easily replaced with a new unit.

Hybrid

High-efficiency hybrid electric heat pump water heaters provide an energy-efficient and innovative water heating solution for your home. They are engineered to offer premium features, including a user-friendly display, vacation mode, and a heavy- duty anode that protects your tank. Select models are equipped with IoT capabilities, allowing you to monitor and control your water heater from anywhere.

How often should I have my heating and air conditioning system maintained?

Maintenance should be performed twice a year. Once before the extreme summer weather and once before the extreme winter weather. Regular maintenance will ensure that your unit will last as long as possible without needing repairs. And believe us it will save you money in the long run, by keeping up the efficiency and cleanliness of your unit. Additionally, some warranties require regular maintenance in order for the warranty terms to be met.

Do you provide free estimates on installations?

YES! We will give you a FREE in-home estimate for an HVAC system or Water Heater. Don’t pay hundreds of unnecessary dollars just for the inspection. Our technicians will work with you to find the best equipment for your home and family’s needs at a price that fits your budget.

What is the average life expectancy of my HVAC system?

An air conditioner can last up to 15 years. But this is ONLY with proper maintenance and servicing. A unit that is not properly cared for may only last 10 years before it starts needing frequent repairs.

Why is my water bill so high?

An unexpected increase in your water bill is a sign that you have a leak. Even if you don’t see the leak, you could have a hidden one.

Why is my electric bill so high in the winter?

Many customers will not notice when their heat pump system is not working. A high electrical bill can be caused by the supplemental heat kit operating to heat your home without heat pump heat. Ensure your system is working properly before the cold days of winter.

What are the benefits of tankless water heaters?

Although some people are perfectly fine with a traditional hot water heater, there are several benefits to using a tankless hot water heater. They never run out of water and can save you money.

Should I use chemicals to clear my drain?

When used too frequently, drain cleaning chemicals are bad for your pipes. They could cause the pipes to deteriorate. There is no replacement for a licensed plumber.
